Ruiz Food Products Inc. has scheduled a job fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology Center on the Florence-Darlington Technical College campus.
The campus is located at 1951 Pisgah Road in Florence.
“We will be accepting applications for a number of positions,” said Tommy Pruitt, a human resources manager at Florence Ruiz Food Products Inc. “They include maintenance mechanics, machine operators and food production associates.”
Applications will be available at the Job Fair. Attendees should bring resumes to attach to applications. Qualified applicants will be contacted. No interviews will be conducted on the day of the job fair.
Ruiz Foods joined the Florence business community on June 17, 2014. On July 11, 2017, Ruiz Food Products announced an expansion to double its Florence manufacturing capacity and create 705 new jobs over the next several years.
Ruiz Foods was co-founded by Fred Ruiz and his father, Louis, more than 50 years ago. It remains family-owned.
The company’s corporate headquarters are located in Dinuba, California. The company has manufacturing and distribution facilities in California and Texas in addition to Florence.
